Aftercare Instructions

Your tattoo is a collaboration between my craft and your care — a permanent work of art that now lives on your skin. Proper aftercare is essential to ensure your piece heals with the same clarity, depth, and precision with which it was created. Please follow these instructions with patience and intention.

Aftercare Instructions

  • Your tattoo has been carefully wrapped to protect it from external bacteria and irritation.

    • Keep the protective film or bandage on for the time advised (typically 9–12 hours, or as personally instructed).

    • When ready to remove it, wash your hands thoroughly before touching the area.

    • Cleanse the tattoo gently using lukewarm water and an antibacterial liquid soap

  • Your tattoo is now in its healing phase — treat it with the same care you would a fine piece of art.

    • Apply a thin layer of Lubriderm or Ikonik Glide 3–4 times a day, or as needed, to maintain light hydration.

    • Your skin should feel soft — never wet, oily, or suffocated.

    • Avoid tight clothing that may rub against or irritate the tattooed area.

    • Do not scratch, peel, or pick any scabs or flakes — let the skin shed naturally to preserve ink integrity.

    • Cleanse the area 3–4 times every 24 hours using antibacterial liquid soap (not bar soap) and clean hands only.

    • Always pat dry with a fresh paper towel before reapplying moisturizer.

  • To ensure proper healing and color retention, please refrain from the following for 2–3 weeks:

    • Submerging the tattoo in water (no baths, pools, hot tubs, or ocean).

    • Direct sunlight or tanning exposure.

    • Heavy ointments, petroleum-based, or alcohol-containing products.

    • Excessive sweating, gym activity, or friction-heavy clothing.

    • Shaving the area until the tattoo is fully healed.

    •  Mild peeling, flaking, or light itching are completely normal during the healing process.

    • The tattoo may appear slightly dull or hazy at first — true vibrancy will return once the skin regenerates.

    • Typical healing time ranges from 2 to 4 weeks, depending on placement, detail, and individual skin type.

  • Your tattoo is a lifelong investment — protect it accordingly.

    • Always apply broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30+) before sun exposure to preserve contrast and color.

    •  Keep your skin moisturized daily to maintain the richness of tone and detail.

    • Avoid extended sun exposure, extreme dryness, or anything that could prematurely age the skin.

  • Persistent redness, swelling, excessive pain, or discharge may indicate an infection.

If these symptoms occur, contact me directly or seek professional medical guidance immediately.

Do not attempt to self-treat with unverified products or home remedies.

  • Your tattoo represents both of us — my artistry and your trust.

By following these aftercare steps precisely, you ensure the piece heals exactly as intended: refined in tone, flawless in detail, and eternal in presence.
